It can be found on newegg for $34 which is a good price range if you consider a simple HDD enclosure will cost you slightly less. This is perfect for backing up multiple computers or even other external drives

Installing was Simple the average person will have no problem, simply connect power to the unit via the provided DC adapter, connect the USB 2.0 data cable, press the power button at the back, and gently insert your choice of SATA hard drive. By Yosuan Orta

If you are the kind of person that likes to leave there, heat sink clean for the thermal compound then this is the product for you. The Tuniq TR-1 takes out even toughest and oldest thermal compound, believe me I know I tried it on an old Compaq computer and it came out like butter. In addition, one important thing this product does not leave stains on your heat sink that is a good thing because when applying thermal compound there will not be anything uneven. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to machine the optimal performance.

*Non-Toxic and Environmentally Safe
*RoHS Compliant
*Not Electrically conductive
*High Effective
*Easy Application

Specifications:
30ml

How to Clean Grease:
Tuniq TR-1 Thermal Material Remover quickly dissolves the existing thermal grease, TX-2,. The thermal compound can easily be removed with a clean cloth.

1. Fully saturate the thermal pad or compound with several drops of TR-1 and wait 30 to 50 seconds for the thermal material to be dissolved.

2. Gently wipe with a clean cloth to completely remove thermal material.

Attention:

Keep away from children

Keep away from fire

Avoid eyes contact and ingestion

Pros:
*Good for the price
*Non-conductive
*Well instructed on how to use it
*Works great

Cons:
*Didn’t find any

SunbeamTech UFO Acrylic Cube Case (Review)

By Yosuan Orta

Sunbeam tech’s UFO acrylic cube case is a great product if you want to show off your sweet hardware mean while keeping things cool. The two large quite LED 120mm fans provide excellent through out the entire case. The inside the case is very Spacey and easy to install the motherboard and other components. In the front panel, you will find the power, reset, two USB 2.0, a microphone and a speaker jack. Two 5.25″ external bays, and two 3.5″ drives. If you installing an aftermarket CPU cooler you might want to see if it fits first. Also scratches easily so you might want to be careful. In addition, if you were worried about cable management I would recommend a modular power supply. It was very easy to build also easy to take apart and rebuild. Once you fired up the case, it glows a bright blue, which looks great when lights are off.

Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer (Review)

July 14, 2008 Leave a comment

By Yosuan Orta

Sunbeamtech has done it again with another great product; The Core-Contact Freezer is one of the most innovative well-built products I have seen in a long time, with a unique heatsink with bent fins, which provide cooling to the CPU as well to the motherboard itself. The installation manual was very simple yet very easy to read and follow, The installation of the CPU Cooler was a bit tough at first because I couldn’t get the second bracket to go in to the motherboard but with a bit a of force I managed to get it, Although the heatsink seems huge it was well mounted with lots of space remaining for two Graphic Cards. The heat sink also did not affect the memory slots either. The box came with all the accessories you will need to mount it on current AMD and Intel compatible motherboards.

The copper and aluminum Core-Contact Technology is very impressive getting the heat out and cooling the CPU quickly and efficient.

The massive 120mm MFDB fan provides even further cooling to the heat sink with very low noise consumption and fast fan speeds that you cannot go wrong with. The fan does not come pre-assembled but installation of the fan only took a minute or so. Sunbeam also provided a fan controller, which is placed in a PCI slot for easy access in the back.

Sunbeam also provided the TX-2 Thermal Compound, which is amazing to say it worked better than the Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound. With low thermal resistance for superior heat transfer and help the low-pressure clip design of cooler to achieve also it’s not electrically conductive which is a big plus for me.

Very amazing CPU temps and not even running the fan at max speeds.

1. Core-Contact Technology

MFDB Fan Features:
1. Silent 120mm Fan MFDB ( Magnetic Fluid Dynamic Bearing)
2. Ultra-Silent Low-Noise Level (16db)
3. Outstanding Long Life of 50,000 Hours

TX-2 Features:
1. Low Thermal Resistance for Superior Heat Transfer, 4.5W/mK
2. Small Molecular Size Makes a Better Contact Between the
Heatsink and Heatsource
3. Thin Bond Line for Hi-Efficiency Conductivity
4. Low Bleed under High Pressure
5. Spreads Easy – Clean Consistency
6. Help the Low-pressure Clip Design of Cooler to Achieve
7. better cooling performance

COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-WW (Review)

June 25, 2008 Leave a comment

By Yosuan Orta

Although this case looks cool, it is a bit heavy but does provide superior cooling with one 80mm fan in the front for in and a massive 120mm fan for exhaust ventilation. The front panel is easily removed in order to clean out the filter from the front fan. This case has lots of room for drive bays 5xExternal 5.25″ Drive Bays, 1xExternal 3.5″, 4xInternal 3.5″ Drive Bays. the front panel works great has a 2xusb and 2xaudio ports and also has a 1xIEEE1394 the material in this case is designed very well but does have a few sharp edges in the corners. the inside of the case have a great layout, didn’t feel really roomy even though its a Mid Tower unless you will have to do some cable management and you should be able to get some extra room and even better cooling. In the expansion slots I need notice that the expansion holders where plastic and did not hold 100%, it was loose or got loose most of the time.
